While every day in Montana is unique in its own way, we like the divide the year into two “seasons”:

From mid-May to mid-October, our 36 safari-style tents, 30 Wilderness Estate suites and 18 multi-bedroom homes provide accommodations for up to 275 guests.

From mid-October to mid-May, our 30 Wilderness Estate suites and 17 multi-bedroom homes provide accommodations for up to 100 guests.

Paws Up invented glamping, and we still set the standard. Each safari-style tent here features hardwood floors, sumptuous beds, art-adorned walls, electricity, air-conditioning and heat. En suite bathrooms offer heated slate floors and spa-style showers. Butler service and private Dining Pavilions add the exclusive ambience. Each camp comprises six tents and all camps are within walking distance of each other.

Day 1

Itinerary

During the day: Breathe in that fresh Montana air.

Arriving at Missoula International Airport, you’re greeted by our staff. Whether you arrive together or on separate flights, you have helpful and friendly ground transportation—a scenic 35-minute drive—to The Resort. You’re checked in inside your luxury accommodations, and lunch is served in Trough, our on-property casual dining restaurant.

Afterwards, you can either head out to the Sky Line™ Aerial Adventure Park or relax and catch up with each other out on the deck.

In the evening: Gather ’round!

For dinner, you’re in for a crowd-pleasing down-home experience in the heart of our Ranch Village. Pose for that quintessential Montana photo on The Yard at the Cook Shack against the backdrop of the Garnet Mountains. You play pick-up games of horseshoes, watch closely as world-class chefs cook up mouth-watering cuisine outdoors and then sit down to dine in picturesque gazebos. Live entertainment is provided on stage by a local singer-songwriter.

Day 2

Itinerary

During the day: Go for a ride … and smile!

Whether you’re an early riser or someone who pulls the blanket over your head to catch a few extra z’s, a fresh breakfast is there for you at Trough. This morning’s adventure, an ATV tour, has you kicking up dust with your crew as you take in the scenery all around.

The afternoon allows for a little downtime before saddling up for a trail ride. You wander through fragrant pines, winding up at a beautiful spot to stop for a group picture with our resort photographer.

In the evening: Serve your dinner guests a whole lot of water.

Take a sunset cruise on a high-mountain glacial lake. The idyllic Paws Up Island Lodge is just 15 minutes away, but a million miles from your average rehearsal dinner. Gently spiked lemonade and signature island cocktails are following by a group dining experience unmatched anywhere. Let the stars create a canopy above, as our s’moreologists serves up his finest creations around a crackling bonfire. Live music only adds to the festive atmosphere.

Day 3

During the day: Say yes to beauty and nature.

Greet your wedding day with a couple’s massage at Spa Town® while your guests enjoy their choice of on-property activities. Take in the scenery as your makeup and hair are perfected, then set out for photos along the banks of the Blackfoot River.

When the sun casts its golden glow over the endless rolling pastures, you exchange your vows at the Wedding Knoll, surrounded by panoramic views of the ranch. A horse-drawn procession returns you to our Ranch Village.

In the evening: Celebrate your nuptials in style.

Join your guests in our elegantly restored Bull Barn. Your reception begins with live music and signature cocktails. Champagne toasts are followed by hors d’oeuvres and lots of lively candid photos, indoors and outside. Your group ascends the spiral staircase to a dinner in the hayloft, meticulously prepared and paired to perfection with magnificent wines. After the bouquet toss, it’s time to kick up your heels and dance the night away. Fireworks and a bonfire wrap up the night.

Day 4

Itinerary

During the day: Fete your union one last time.

Begin the day with a newlywed brunch in Pomp. Guests filter in at their leisure, and you put your fork into a high stack of huckleberry pancakes. Complimentary ground transfers begin early to Missoula International. Those departing later can relax in our Bunkhouse hospitality suite or get in some shopping at the Wilderness Outpost.

And here’s a hint: You might want to book the Honeymoon tent for one extra night. It’s the perfect start to your life’s adventure together.
