Steve “Nookie” Postal: Featured Chef
Chef Steve “Nookie” Postal is known for giving fresh ingredients center stage. His restaurant Commonwealth was named Best Al Fresco Restaurant by Boston Magazine, as well as Best Neighborhood Takeout Restaurant. A veteran chef of Cambridge’s Oleana and Casablanca restaurants, Postal also spent six years as executive chef at one of the grilled-food eating capitals of the world—Boston’s Fenway Park. Baseball fans fondly remember his tenure at Fenway—it included a Red Sox World Series win in 2007.
In 2012, Postal was a finalist in Around the World in 80 Plates on Bravo, circling the globe competing in culinary challenges in exotic places such as Buenos Aires, Florence and Marrakesh. He has also cooked at the James Beard House in New York City on four occasions.
