Rhett Miller has put out numerous solo albums in addition to his extensive discography as the front man of the much-loved alt-country act Old 97’s, which released a new album, Twelfth, in 2020, filled with Americana-punk-pop melodies. Miller released The Misfit, his first solo album since 2018, in September 2022, which features a song composed at Paws Up. The Old 97’s recently performed their song "I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here)" and their collaboration with Kevin Bacon, "Here It Is Christmastime," in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Miller also hosts Wheels Off, a podcast on which he discusses the creative process with such artists as Rosanne Cash, Lydia Loveless and Rob Thomas. He has also published essays, articles and a children’s book, No More Poems!
