John Doe is a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and bassist, but is perhaps most famous for co-founding the LA punk band X, whose first two studio albums were ranked by Rolling Stone as among the 500 greatest of all time. Doe continues to tour with X and has recorded eight solo albums with renowned artists including Dan Auerbach, Patty Griffin and Aimee Mann. Other musical side projects include work with the Knitters, the Sadies and Jill Sobule. X released Alphabetland, the band’s eighth studio album, in 2020. It was their first studio release in 27 years and the first with their original lineup in the past 35 years. Doe released a solo album, Fables in a Foreign Land, in 2022. He is also a TV and film actor, with roles in Roswell, Road House and Great Balls of Fire!
