Lange Estate Winery
Driven by a passion for Pinot Noir and a love of land, Don and Wendy Lange founded Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards in the Dundee Hills of Oregon’s northern Willamette Valley. The year 1987 marked their first vintage and consisted of the three varietals they still embrace today: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Joined by second-generation winemaker Jesse Lange in 2004, the family focuses on terroir through small-lot, artisanal winemaking philosophies. Together they set the standard for truly handcrafted wines.
The Lange family’s ongoing pursuit of what is best for our palates and our planet is rooted in a love for fly-fishing and the great outdoors. Each fly on their wine label underscores the Lange’s philosophy of sustainability.
Devotion to quality as well as sustainability has led to numerous accolades, not the least of which was being selected as Wine & Spirits magazine’s 2012 Winery of the Year. The Lange Estate wines have also earned a steady stream of 91+ ratings from Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator, prompting Wine Enthusiast to proclaim Lange Estate to be “one of the great Pinot Noir producers in the United States.”
