The First Carbon Neutral Guest Experience in America

New in 2009, Paws Up has become the nation's first carbon neutral resort! In a partnership with Missoula's ClearSky Climate Solutions, we have committed to leave a "zero carbon paw-print" by investing in Montana forestry and rangeland projects that are certified carbon offset providers. We recently completed an extensive energy consumption audit and calculated our carbon footprint so that we can accurately mitigate what we contribute to global climate change.
Additionally, guests will have the option of upgrading from their carbon neutral experience while at Paws Up to an entirely carbon neutral resort vacation by purchasing additional offset credits through ClearSky to offset the carbon "paw-print" created by their travel to and from Missoula. Guests who opt for the upgrade will receive an equivalent credit to be used for their next visit to Paws Up.

Paws Up Conservancy

The open meadows and vistas at Paws Up will remain for eternity as Paws Up is in the process of planning a major conservation easement over the majority of the Ranch. This easement will be coupled with a foundation dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the conserved lands for the improvement of wildlife habitat and the quality of the watershed.

"Greenough Clean Machines" - Electric Car Fleet

In 2008, The Resort at Paws Up became the first resort in America to offer Miles Electric Vehicles for on-site use for its guests and staff. When you check in to a Wilderness Estate at Paws Up, your "Greenough Clean Machine" will be plugged-in at the front door, ready to transport you and your family up to 50 miles per charge. Cruising to dinner in your own electric vehicle is new-fashioned good clean fun!
