Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up station, prep product for your station utilizing AM/PM Prep Lists, read and prepare orders
- Communicate with expediter and other stations, ensure quality food, keep area clean employing the “clean as you go” philosophy
- Set up and breakdown of all equipment used
- Assist other kitchen staff members when needed
- Exhibit an understanding of the importance of safe food handling procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 1 year cooking experience in fine dining kitchen
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, coping with stressful situations with patience and a positive mental attitude
- Display a sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and a desire to get things done the first time
- Enjoy the challenge of effectively managing multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or cost controls
- Work flexible, demanding hours
- Uncompromising desire to attain and retain the highest levels of service and satisfaction possible
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Continuous standing (100%), walking (50%), lifting and carrying (0-50 lb.), frequent reaching/ grasping/ handling, frequent pushing and pulling (0-50 lb.), frequent stooping/ bending/ crouching.
